Meler’s micron series wins the 2014 Red Dot Award

An international panel of design experts decided to give the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014 to Meler Gluing Solutions for its Micron Series de Meler Gluing Solutions.

The Micron’s innovation, design and performance impressed the panellists of the international competition, the Red Dot Design Award, one of the biggest and most famous in the world. The panel for these awards is made up of internationally renowned design experts whose experience enables them to carry out an expert assessment of the special intercultural aspects of design. So Micron can now enjoy its “red dot”, a seal of quality that is renowned worldwide.

This award is a recognition of the quality and strength of Micron, whose main feature is its low energy consumption, around 60% compared to other equipment on the market. The Micron Series represents a significant breakthrough in the careful treatment of hot melt. Thanks to its totally equal temperature distribution there are no points where overheating occurs, which would lead to adhesive degradation. All components used to manufacture these melters are designed to guarantee the user’s safety.

In addition to the reputation and prestige that go with the award, Meler will have the opportunity to display the product in one of the world’s biggest design museums – the Red Dot Design Museum in Germany.
