Efficiency: How to increase performance with lower consumption?

That is the question that Meler’s R&D team asked in the early stages of development. The answer was as follows: minimizing the consumption of both energy and adhesive with a simple strategy, ensuring that every watt and every drop of adhesive is in the right place. The Meler team has worked, on the one hand, on the thermal management of Micron+ ECO and, on the other, on the total control of adhesive dosing.

Thermal optimization: every watt turns into heat

To ensure that every watt of energy is transformed into effective performance and not wasted heat a new cylindrical tank with a capacity of 500g has been designed to promote thermal homogeneity and prevent adhesive degradation.

Micron+ ECO has a tank with 54% less metallic material (compared to other types of tanks) and up to 63% more insulating capacity. Both characteristics drastically reduce conduction and convection processes, responsible for the main heat losses, as well as emissions to the environment.

Thanks to its new components and increased equipment insulation, tests show that the energy consumed to melt, maintain, and pump the adhesive is minimized, resulting in a significant reduction in the electricity bill.

Total control of adhesive application: optimize every drop of hot melt

Another decisive factor for achieving savings is the optimization of adhesive application through the use of patterns. These patterns can be configured with total freedom, by time, distance, or based on a determined % of savings, so that the pattern automatically adapts to apply only the necessary amount of adhesive to the product.
