Specialists in applying hot melt
We manufacture industrial equipment for applying thermoplastic adhesives (EVA, PSA, PA, PO) and thermosetting adhesives (PUR, POR).
Production advantages of hot melt adhesives
- High performance: High mechanical resistance, tolerance to chemical aggressions, extreme temperatures, etc.
- Productivity: instant bonding, no drying or curing, which speeds up production times.
- High versatility: they work on porous surfaces and can be reused.
- Easy logistics: easy handling, storage and transport.

Adhesives used in each application
The open time, setting time, viscosity and working temperature are the variables determining the type of adhesive to be used in each application.
Types of adhesives Hot Melt
HOT-MELT ADHESIVES
High molecular weight polymers that become deformable at high temperatures and harden upon cooling. Can be remelted when heat is applied, although the physical properties of the bond are weakened (thermal history). Adhesives are listed below based on the following polymer groups.
- EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate): one of the most widely used base polymers in adhesive formulation. It is easy to process and highly flexible, even at low temperatures. It is used mainly in sectors like packaging and product assembly. Not suitable for outdoor use.
- Metallocenes: adhesives with low VOC emissions and high thermal stability. Like EVA, they are easy to process. They are often used to achieve special benefits.
- Self-adhesive (PSA): high tack despite temperature change. Typical use in pressure sensitive adhesive applications.
- Polyamide (PA): very good chemical resistance; but the processing temperature is very high (160°C to 200°C). Suitable for bonding substrates, such as metal, wood, textiles or for electrical insulation.
- Polyolefin (APO/APAO): although not suitable for outdoor use, they offer higher thermal resistance than EVA (reactivation temperature 115°C to 130°C) and longer opening time. Their processing complexity means that application systems similar to those for reactive adhesives are used. Widely used in product assembly.

Hot-melt adhesives
These adhesives owe their adhesive power to chemical reactions of polymerisation, reactions activated by heat or by catalysts, such as moisture or UV rays. Their use is widespread in the manufacture of products requiring a high level of temperature and moisture resistance. They have a high bonding capacity, but when solidified, the process is irreversible.
- Polyurethane (PUR): these adhesives have high mechanical strength and are very versatile. They have a long opening time that facilitates production processes. They are heat-resistant and are used both indoors and outdoors. They are used in plastics engineering, automotive assembly, woodworking, bookbinding, etc.
- Reactive polyolefins (POR): good adhesion on non-porous materials, such as propylene (PP) without pre-treatment.
